Below is information from the MBR Local Rules as it pertains to Divisions for the 2023 season.   Please note the changes that have been implemented for the 16-18 Division, specifically.   If you have any questions, please contact Player Agent, Jason Blackford, via email at jdblackford@gmail.com.

13-15 Division

• The 13-15 Division will conduct a player draft of all available registered players for that age group.
• The pre-assigned players in the 13-15 Division will be managers’ family member(s ), plus one (1) pre-assigned coach and their family member.
• Team composition of all other players and coaches will be determined at the player draft.
• All Munster High School players in the 13-15 Division will be distributed evenly during the draft throughout each team.
• A player evaluation will occur prior to the draft which all registered players must attend.
• Registration for this division ends on March 15
• Player Evaluations will take place on March 18 at the MHS Fieldhouse
• Cost is $245 per player for the 13-15 Division
• Managers will receive a 50% Refund at the end of the season for volunteering to Manage in the 13-15 Division

16-18 In-House Division

• Managers in the 16-18 In-House Division name one (1) coach prior to the draft.
• Managers in the 16-18 In-House Division may pre-assign up to a maximum of four (4) registered players.
• The 4 pre-assigned players will include any manager and coach family members. (Example: Both the manager and coach have a family member pre-assigned, leaving up to 2 additional registered players who can be pre-assigned to their team prior to the draft for a total of 4 pre-assigned registered players.)
• Once the pre-assigned players are determined, all remaining registered players in the 16-18 In-House Division will be entered into the player draft.
• Munster High School Varsity and Junior Varsity players (and other High School players at the Board's discretion) who enter the player draft for the 18-16 In-House Division will be evenly placed among each 16-18 In-House Division team, with the intent to ensure each team has the same number of Munster High School players (or as even as possible).
• No additional registrations will take place for the 16-18 In-House Division after the player draft has taken place.
• Registration for this division ends on March 15
• Cost is $245 per player for the 16-18 In-House Division
• Managers will receive a 50% Refund at the end of the season for volunteering to Manage in the 16-18 In-House Division

16-18 Tournament Trail Division

• Teams can register together for the 16-18 Tournament Trail Division.   Each player will need to register separately and select that they are registering as a part of a team.  They will be prompted to enter the Manager's name for that team.   In addition, the manager will need to email Player Agent, Jason Blackford, with a full roster so the team can be placed together.
• Players who are not on an established team will need to register to play in the 16-18 In-House Division before the deadline for that division (March 15) in order to be eligible for the 16-18 Tournament Trail Division.  Those players will attend tryouts (Date TBD) where managers and coaches will select players to form other 16-18 Tournament Trail Division team.  These players will not pay an additional registration fee to play in both divisions, but there will be an added Uniform cost (TBD after tryouts)
• The number of additional teams will be contingent on the number of additional managers and the quality of the tryouts.
• Established teams' players will be expected to provide their own player uniforms for the 16-18 Tournament Trail Division
• Munster High School Varsity and Junior Varsity players are able to register for this Division without being on an established team, as well, without playing in the 16-18 In-House Division.   This is being implemented because these high school players haven't been able to play many games in past seasons due to the duration of the High School season.
• Registration deadline for the 16-18 Tournament Trail Division for all Munster High School Varsity and Junior Varsity players as well as players on established teams is May 20
• Cost is $195 per player for the 16-18 Tournament Trail Division (Uniform costs have been removed from cost.   Established teams are expected to provide their own uniforms.  Any other teams formed with players from the 16-18 In-House Division will pay for additional uniforms once teams are formed)

Tryouts for the 2023 MBR tournament teams will be held on Monday, 6/12 at the Babe Ruth fields in Community Park.  Tryout times will be according to age:

13's:  5:30p to 6:30p

14's:  6:30p to 7:30p

15's:  7:30p to 8:30p

No need to pre-register.  Just show up to the tryout if your interested.
